Highlights:

  • Sightseeing tour of Ruse, walk through the Rock-Hewn churches of Ivanovo, UNESCO World Cultural Heritage site. We will visit the town of Cherven and also the famous Basarbovo Rock Monastery and Wine tasting

  • Kayaking on Yantra river between the 40m rocks, Arbanasi the open-air museum in traditional Revival architecture, and a sightseeing tour in Veliko Tranovo - the capital of the second Bulgarian Kingdom, including a walk on Samovodska Charshia Street and visit to Tsarevets hill - an impressive sight with medieval fortifications and dramatic architecture.

  • Dive deeply into Bulgarian traditions with the next day trip to  Dryanovo, where we will visit the Dryanovo Monastary, a fabulous place and one of the main centers for the preservation of Christianity and Bulgarian culture over the centuries, Etara – an open-air museum where we will discover how people have lived in the past, Sokolki monastery – one the most beautiful monasteries in Bulgaria  and Tryavna - one of the most charming cities in Bulgaria

  • Trip to Plovdiv, but on the way, we will visit the Shipka Monument – the monument that honours the fallen during the independence the battle against the ottomans with a panoramic view on top, Memorial Temple of the Birth of Christ – a temple with the bones of more than 9000 Russians and Bulgarians during the independence war, The Tomb of Kazanlak – one the best preserved Thracian tombs, listed by UNESCO and the Museum of the Rose.

  • Sightseeing tour of Plovid – the oldest city in Europe, pasted through the greatest civilisations in the South-East of continent, Thracians, Romans, Slaves, Byzantines, Ottomans and Bulgarians. We will explore sites sites like the Roman Stadium, the Ancient heater, Ethnographic Museum and the Old town.

  • Walking tour in the Rodopi mountains, which includes Belintash – a mysterious place with strange energy and Krastova gora – the religious center of the mountain

  • Tour to Kuklenski monastery – with a great view on the Thracian plane, Asenova fortress – which hangs on the top of a rock, with it restored church, Barchkovski monastery – the second biggest in Bulgaria with two distinct churches inside and the natural landmark Chudnite mostove – 45m high and 40m wide natural arches in the rock.

  • A day devoted to the nature, which includes a walking tour in the forests and highlands and horse ridinig.

  • Visit of the creepiest bridge in Europe, the Devil’s bridge, which reflection in the water of Arda river reveals the Devil, Orlovi skali – niches in a 30m high rocks, that are stil keeping the secrets of the Thracians and Zlatograd – the Pearl of the Rodopi mountains in Revival architecture

  • Sightseeing tour of the South of the Rodopi mountains starting with Agushevi konatsi – the winter estate of a local Ottoman feudal, the Regional Museum of History of Smolyan and its Gallery, a traditional lunch in a local restaurant and the capital of the Rodopi music and folklore Shiroka laka.

  • The last day is a relaxing day with kayaking on Vacha dam – the most beautiful in Bulgaria and Wine tasting with possibility of SPA in one of the best SPA centers in the country

 

You will have the opportunity to start from Bucharest and to return to Bucharest or Sofia.
